Monday - July 17th

Missoula Children's Theater - Auditions

This year they will be performing "Gulliver's Travels".  Missoula Children's Theater will audition, cast, rehearse, and perform this original musical with approximately 60 students: 1st - 12th grade.  Auditions will be held on Monday July 17th @ 10:00 a.m., in the AHS auditorium.  Students need to be available every day 9-2:30 to practice.  There will be a $5.00 student registration fee to help supplement cost of production. Free performances will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 11:30 and 1:30 in the AHS auditorium.  Pre-register your child for auditions at bbrinton@dcsd.org.  Please include your child's name, grade and contact number.



Family Activities and Movie Night


Bring your family down to the Altamont park between 6-9:30 p.m. for a night of fun! There will be a Bounce House, Water Games, Dunk Tank, Barrel Train Ride, Home Run Hitter Contest, Face Painting, Volleyball, & much more. Fun for every age! The movie will begin at dusk. This year they are showing "Boss Baby" a family comedy rated PG. There will be a $5 per person or $25 per family entrance fee. Concessions will be available, but are not included in admission. This activity goes to helping Youth Baseball/Softball.


Altamont's Got Talent - Open Auditions


Will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the Park Amphitheater. Think you've got what it takes to be a superstar? Call Whitney Robb @ 724-8078 or Tara Evans @ 733-0484 for an audition application and info.  You must live in the Altamont area. The winners will go on to the Duchesne County Talent Show held on August 11th at 4:30 p.m. for a chance to win $1000.00.


Dodgeball Tournament


Will be held at 8 p.m. in the old AHS Gym.  Registration begins at 7:30. The cost is $50 per team. So round up a team of 5 for a good game of dodgeball. Contact McKinlee Thacker @ 823-3023 for more information and come support AHS Student Body Officer's.

Tuesday - July 18th

Arts in the Park

Arts in the Park will be held in the Altamont Park @ 2 p.m. Kids come tot he park for a Great Artist art project, it's FREE!  No sign up required. Contact Travis Spunaugle @ 801-669-3111 for more information.


Girls 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament

Come support the AHS Girls Basketball Team at the 3 on 3 tournament.  Registration begins at 5:30 with a Captain's Meeting at 5:45. Tournament play should begin at 6. There is a maximum of 4 ladies per team; Ages 7th grade and up! Early registration is $45 per team and ends July 14th. If you register at the door, registration is $60.  Contact Whitney Wilkerson @ 650-7646 by July 14th to register early!

Baby Show

Our "Prehistoric" baby show begins at 10:00 a.m. and will be held at the Altamont High School commons area. Ages are newborn - 4. There is a registration fee of $5 per child.  Come support our Longhorn Days by contacting Jamie Winn @ 790-1927 to register your little one.

Boys 3 v 3 Basketball Tournament

Come support the AHS Boy's Basketball Team at the 3 on 3 tournament. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. in the old AHS Gym. Tournament play should begin at 6:30 p.m. There is a maximum of 4 guy's per team. NO SINGLES!!  Early registration is $45 per team and ends July 18th. If you register at the door, registration is $55. Contact Coach Watson at ewatson@dcsd.org by July 18th to register early! Referees will be present at every game.

Thursday - July 20th

Children's Bike Race

The bike Races will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot between AHS/AES. Sign-ups begin at 2:30. There is a fee of $2 per rider up to age 12. Great prizes available.  Contact McQuade Walker @733-1004 for more information and come support the AHS Junior class.

Co-ed Volleyball Tournament

The Volleyball Tournament will begin at 5:00 p.m. on the AHS football field.  There is a fee of $90 per team if you preregistered by July 19th. Any registration on the day of the tournament will be $100 fee per team.  Pool play begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by tournament play.  Contact Trina Farnsworth @ 828-5722 by July 19th for early registration.  Come support the AHS Volleyball Team.


Moon Lake FFA Scholarship Jackpot

Friday - July 21st

Co-Ed Softball Tournament

If you are interested in playing in the softball tournament, you will need to meet at the field behind the elementary.  The Fun begins at 6:00 p.m.  This is Co-Ed ONE PITCH, using your own pitcher. Teams are 10 player teams and need at least 5 girls.  Any boy age 12 and under can take the place of one of the 5 girls for your team. There is a $250 fee per team. Games will be played on the elementary field and at the Altamont park. There will be Prizes for Champions and Home Runs!  Call or text Kenna @ 435-733-0144 or Kristin 435-790-5126 to register your team!  All proceeds go to the Longhorn Wrestling Club.

Rodeo

Join us at the Altamont Rodeo Grounds at 7:00 p.m. for the time of your life. The cost is $8/Adult and $4/child under 12. There will be slack roping after the Rodeo.  Contact Jace Brotherson @ 823-5890 or Austin Burton @ 315-5615 for more information.

Saturday - July 22nd

5K Fun Run and 1 mile Kids Race

Registration goes from 6-6:45 a.m. Races begin at 7:00 a.m. 5K race starts at the Altamont Park and will run the outskirts of Altamont and back into town, finishing at the park.  The 1 mile kids race for kids up to age 10 is a 1 mile loop around the park area.  There is a fee of $15 per participant. Immediate family members with 6 or more persons, the fee is $12 per person. Awards will be given to the top runners and walkers in both races. The first 100 participants will receive a T-Shirt.  Contact Tracy McKinnon with any questions @ 454-4549.   Come out and support AHS Track and Field and Cross Country Teams.


Pancake Breakfast


Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. join us for a big pancake breakfast at the Park! Cost is $5 a plate - 2 years and under eat free. Come support the AHS Longhorn Football.


Car Show


The car show will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Community Park. Come see the fabulous cars on display. There is a $20 entry fee.  A hot dog lunch will be available.  Contact Brandon Peck @ 823-4028 with any questions.  Come support the Altamont Fire Department.


Missoula Children's Theater Performances of "Gulliver's Travel's"


Free - Performances of Missoula Children's Theater's Gulliver's Travels will be held at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the AHS Auditorium. Please park in from of AHS, not in the West Parking lot (it will be used for the parade line up). Thank you!


Parade on Main Street


Join us for our small town parade! The Flag Raising will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial. The Parade line up and registration begins at 3:30 p.m. in the west parking lot of AHS, look for the registration canopy.  Parade Route begins at the west parking lot of AHS continuing on Main Street, turns around at Mitchells, returns to AHS Parking lot. No Entry FEE. Please remember to bring a copy of the parade announcement for your entry. Contact Yawna Lindsay @ 823-7807 if you have questions. Horseshoe Pitching


Horseshoe Pitching will begin at 6 p.m. following the Parade.  Contact Jace Gilbert @ 650-0699 or Nikki Gilbert @ 650-3522 with any questions.  There is a fee of $5 per team.  Great Prizes Available!

Vendor Booths


Vendor booths will be available following the Parade and during the Entertainment/Auction at the Community Park. There is a fee of $50 per booth with $25.00 refundable after clean-up. Contact Sandi Rust @ 823-4130.  There are a limited number of food vendor spaces available.


Bar-B-Que


There will be a Dutch-Oven Dinner at $10/plate after the Parade.  Come support the AHS Wrestlers. Other Concessions will be available.

Auction

Fireworks


Following the Auction there will be a fabulous display of Fireworks.  Tentative, depending on state, county and city fire restrictions.


Dance


The dance will begin after the fireworks and go until 11:30. It will be held at the AHS football field, weather permitting.  Ages 14 and up are invited.  The cost is $3 per person and all proceeds go to help the AHS Cheerleaders.
