Park 2 Park 8.5 Mile Run

Registration will begin at 5:30 a.m. There is a fee of $25 per participant and the race will begin at 6:00 a.m.  The race will start at the Bluebell Park and go north for 2 miles, then turns to the west for 3 miles of rolling hills.  After 5 miles you will run up the hill to the Altamont cemetery and continue for 2 miles to the town of Altamont, where you go past the elementary school, cross main street and end up at the Altamont City Park. 5K Fun Run and 1 mile Kids Race

Registration goes from 6-6:45 a.m. Races begin at 7:00 a.m. 5K race starts at the Altamont Park and will run the outskirts of Altamont and back into town, finishing at the park.  The 1 mile kids race for kids up to age 10 is a 1 mile loop around the park area.  There is part of the run that is on graveled road.  1 mile kid's race for kids age 10 and under is a 1-mile loop around the park area.  There is a fee of $15 per participant. Immediate family members with 6 or more persons, the fee is $12 per person. Awards will be given to the top runners, walkers, strollers, wheel chair, hand cycles in both races. The first 100 participants will receive a T-Shirt.  Contact Tracy McKinnon with any questions @ 454-4549.   Come out and support AHS Track and Field and Cross Country Teams.


Pancake Breakfast


Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. join us for a big pancake breakfast at the Park! Cost is $5 a plate - 2 years and under eat free. Come support the AHS Longhorn Football.


Ranch Rodeo

Sign-ups will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Altamont Rodeo Grounds. Contact Jace Brotherson @ 823-5890 or Austin Burton @ 315-5615 for more info.  Proceeds to to the Altamont Roping Club


Children's Musical Theater Performances

Free - Performances of Missoula Children's Theater's "Rock Bottom" will be held at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the AHS Auditorium. Please park in from of AHS, not in the West Parking lot (it will be used for the parade line up). Thank you!


Parade on Main Street


Join us for our small town parade! The Flag Raising will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial. The Parade line up and registration begins at 3:30 p.m. in the west parking lot of AHS, look for the registration canopy.  Parade Route begins at the west parking lot of AHS continuing on Main Street, turns around at Mitchells, returns to AHS Parking lot. No Entry FEE. Please remember to bring a copy of the parade announcement for your entry. Contact Yawna Lindsay @ 823-7807 if you have questions. Horseshoe Pitching


Horseshoe Pitching will begin at 6 p.m. following the Parade.  Contact Jace Gilbert @ 650-0699 or Nikki Gilbert @ 650-3522 with any questions.  There is a fee of $5 per team.  Great Prizes Available!

Vendor Booths


Vendor booths will be available following the Parade and during the Entertainment/Auction at the Community Park. There is a fee of $50 per booth with $25.00 refundable after clean-up. Contact Sandi Rust @ 823-4130.  There are a limited number of food vendor spaces available.


Bar-B-Que


There will be a Dutch-Oven Dinner at $10/plate after the Parade.  Come support the AHS Wrestlers. Other Concessions will be available.  


Free Show @ 6:30 "Dryer Highway"


Dryer Highway is made up of four siblings who are turning heads of country music lovers everywhere.  Between driving fiddle solos, heartfelt choruses, and sweet sibling harmonies, anyone listening to this group will find themselves in the middle of a musical experience that they won't want to end.  The four sibling harmonies sweeten up old favorites and new hits, and the group's original songs have a distinctly "real life" flavor. Tel, Tiann, Mady, and TayLynn Dyer have been making music together all their lives, and the thing they love most is letting other people be part of it.


Auction


The Auction will begin at 8:00 p.m. at the amphitheater. Contact Kim Layton @ 454-3369 or Kathy Fieldsted @ 823-1910 to donate items.  Come bid on our silent auction items, and live auction for bigger items.  Proceeds benefit future Longhorn Days Celebrations.


Fireworks


Following the Auction there will be a fabulous display of Fireworks.  Tentative, depending on state, county and city fire restrictions.


Dance


The dance will begin after the fireworks and go until 11:30. It will be held at the AHS football field, weather permitting.  Ages 14 and up are invited.  The cost is $3 per person and all proceeds go to help the AHS Cheerleaders.
